Pettersson u384 USB ultrasonic microphonearticle diffusé
The NEW u384 USB ultrasonic microphone, like the M500-384 microphone, allows you to make good quality, full spectrum recordings of bat emissions (allows identification of Plecotus and Myotis according to Michel BARATAUD) or other ultrasonic signals (e.g. orthopteran songs).
This mini micro u384, very handy and energy efficient, works with most operating systems: Windows, MacOs, Linux, iOS or Android. It can be connected to several media: desktop or laptop computers, mini PCs, tablets or smartphones and with the help of a sound recording software of your choice. The u384 uses standard device drivers and does not require the installation of custom drivers.
You will also need audio recording software to use this microphone. There are a number of suitable programs available on the market for this purpose, both free and paid for. There is Pettersson's free software, the BatSound Touch Lite, which allows recordings to be made on a Windows PC. Audacity is another free program available on Windows, MacOS and Linux. For Android devices, the paid applications "USB Audio Recorder Pro" and "Bat Recorder" are available on Google Play Store. For iOS devices, the paid application "Ultrasonic Analyzer" is also available. Most programs must be specifically configured to use these recording settings.
The u384 has a USB male "Micro B" type connector for direct connection to tablets or smartphones. A Classic USB adapter is supplied with the u384 microphone for connection to a computer. You will need a "TYPE C" USB adapter (available on the Club Biotope shop) for connection to new tablets and smartphones.
Due to the large number of possible combinations, it is nevertheless impossible to guarantee full functionality on all computer media, especially with low-end devices.
