For almost 30 years, the ‘Flora Helvetica’ has been the standard reference work on botany in Switzerland. Although it is scientifically based and complies with the APG standard, the work also meets the needs of less experienced plant lovers.
Almost all of Switzerland's wild plants, both flowering plants and ferns, are listed in the book. Each species is represented by one or two high-quality colour photographs and accompanied by a detailed descriptive text. The species description includes the scientific nomenclature in German, French, Italian and Romansh, the main characteristics, ecological requirements, frequency and distribution in Switzerland, as well as other information such as the degree of threat, toxicity, pharmaceutical use and legal protection.
The 6th edition has been completely revised once again, and includes around 60 additional newcomers.
1696 pages, around 3900 colour photos.
