Optical treatments

• HDC (High Durable Coating) is a multi-layer coating applied to the lenses of Leica optics. It aims to minimize spurious reflections, improve light transmission, increase contrast and ensure natural and faithful color reproduction. In addition, this treatment is designed to resist abrasion, which increases the durability of optical surfaces and the longevity of equipment.

• SCHOTT HT (High Transmission) lenses are high-end optical lenses developed by the German group SCHOTT. Their main characteristic is an exceptional light transmission, ranging to 92% for these binoculars, thanks to an optimized chemical composition and a very high homogeneity of the material.

• AquaDura treatment is a hydrophobic coating that protects the lenses against water, fogging, dust and dirt. This treatment facilitates the rapid flow of water drops and prevents the adhesion of particles, which allows for maintaining clear vision even in rainy weather or difficult conditions. It also makes cleaning the lenses easier and durably protects the optic against external aggressions.
