The ZEISS Secacam 1 is a No-Glow trail camera equipped with 60 invisible black LEDs (940 nm) that ensure animals remain undisturbed during triggering. Its native resolution is 3 MP (compared to 5 MP on higher-end models), with the ability to reach up to 24 MP via interpolation. The field of view measures 60°, with a flash range of approximately 25 meters, and trigger speed ranges from 0.35 to 0.45 seconds.

The Secacam 1 features a robust design with dimensions of 140 × 109 × 84 mm and a weight of 461 g (without batteries). It includes a 2.4-inch color display and a dedicated TEST button for easy setup. Weatherproof and reliable, the camera operates effectively from -20°C to +55°C.

Data Retrieval and Power

Files can be retrieved directly from the camera using a USB-C drive, with no subscription required—for optimal quality, extract them straight from the device. The Secacam 1 uses LTE (4G) connectivity (slightly less robust than higher-end models), includes GPS for location transmission, runs on 8 AA batteries (LR6), and has 32 GB internal storage.

SIM and Coverage

It ships with an integrated SIM card that auto-selects the strongest available network for optimal connectivity across France, though reception may vary in remote areas like mobile phones. ZEISS offers two data plans: monthly subscriptions (with options for photo/video transmission, AI animal ID, theft insurance, and more) or a flexible credit system (videos use more credits than photos).
