Pack BIRDMIC - Parabolic microphone with audio interface

Birdmic is designed to amplify sounds of 1.5 KHz and above (mainly bird calls and songs), but you can listen to and record the entire audible frequency range (20 Hz – 20 Khz).

It also features two sound modulation buttons that can be used independently. The sound will be modified before recording, allowing for better results in post-production. You can monitor the sound in real time through the headphones.

• LOW FREQUENCY CUT : activate this button to reduce low-frequency noises such as wind, engines, or roads.
• BOOST : used to amplify the entire spectrum if the sound is low.

BirdMic uses a high-sensitivity omnidirectional microphone located at the focal point of the parabolic dish. The outer surface of the plate isolates noise coming from the rear and sides. The inner surface sends the front sound to the focal point.

The microphone picks up direct sound from the front, and the rest of the sound is reflected on the inside of the dish. This signal (physically isolated and amplified by the dish) passes to the audio interface, which amplifies it again and can be modulated (low-frequency cut and boost).

The final signal is sent simultaneously to the headphones and the recording device.
